Bird Feeder Cam
  • Bird Feeder Cam

Pierson Place  amateur avian research is a project that I created when I was introduced to the wonderful world of bird watching by a very large flock of Pine Siskins that stayed at my feeder for the whole month of November. Pierson Place Amateur Avian Research is a participating member of Cornell Lab of Ornithology's Project FeederWatch.
What is Project FeederWatch you ask?

Project FeederWatch is a winter-long survey of birds that visit feeders at backyards, nature centers, community areas, and other locales in North America. FeederWatchers periodically count the birds they see at their feeders from November through early April and send their counts to Project FeederWatch. FeederWatch data help scientists track broadscale movements of winter bird populations and long-term trends in bird distribution and abundance.
Project FeederWatch is operated by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and Bird Studies Canada. Click on the Project FeederWatch banner above to learn more.

We have also set up this website so that the public can participate in this project by helping  count the number and variety of birds that visit our feeders this winter.
How can you help? Below you will find live video feeds of the bird feeders and below that you will find a chat box where you can leave comments about the birds you see on the live feeds.

                                                  ENJOY the show!
